Your child is at the Center. The sound of children laughing, playing, and learning is the heartbeat of JCC Harlem. We specialize in fun programming for kids from birth to 10 to get them moving, grooving, and growing.

JCC Harlem cares deeply about providing a top-notch early childhood learning environment. We offer a wide array of developmentally appropriate, fun, and engaging classes for young children. Some of our programs are attended with a grown-up and others are designed for early separation experiences.

  • Open Play and Open Art for children accompanied by grown-ups
  • Harlem Sprouts, our early separation program, which uses a play-based learning mode
  • Age-appropriate art, music, sports, dancing, and more - all taught by our incredible coaches and educators!

Fun and learning continue long after the school day ends, and on the weekends, too! We empower kids to be strong, capable members of the community who laugh, play, rest, work, and build relationships together. Programming for the school-age crowd includes:

  • Play- and movement-based classes in the afterschool hours
  • Summer and winter day camps at JCC Harlem and our sister program, Camp Settoga
  • Experiential-based models of Jewish learning

We offer many opportunities for children, parents, caregivers, and other family members to come together at JCC Harlem. From newborn workshops to weekend “Wine Downs,” there are many ways for grown-ups and kids to learn and play together with us.

Camp Settoga
Camp Settoga offers New York City campers room to grow, explore, and discover outdoor adventure. This day camp serves children ages 4-12 years old with buses picking up in Harlem all summer long. Financial assistance is available to help you send your child to camp!
